Beijing Fisheries Corporation
(BFC) is a state-owned group which majors in fishery and also develops
multi-businesses. Founded in 1983, BFC possesses 23 subsidiaries,
including 10 trades such as aquiculture, ocean fishing, production,
fish feed production, science research, storage and transportation,
wholesale market, ornamental fish and aquatic plants. The total assets
of the corporation amounts to 1 billion RMB, and more than 4 billion
of annual trade volume is available. The corporation is sharing the
aquatic market by about 60% in Beijing.
Based on improving industrialization of fishery, with great effort
for one after years, BFC has founded a chain which science research,
ocean fishing, aquiculture, production and sale has incorporated
together. With overseas fisheries operations across West Africa,
Myanmar, Pacific, etc., the corporation possesses dozens of fishing
vessels. BFC has established 5 aquatic and multi-wholesale markets
in Beijing with the total sales volume of 2.5 billion RMB per year.
The National Institute Center (Beijing) of Freshwater Fisheries
Engineering involving science research, development, demonstration,
farming, spreading, servicing, training, has been approved to found
by the National Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry
of Agriculture. It is the biggest industrialized base being considered
incubator for high-tech fruit in fishery. "Beishui"-brand
serial products have obtained the Green Food Certificate. The aquatic
feed of famous brand -"YS" has been sharing a high reputation
in consumers in scale for its high quality and scientific formula.
And the real estate development of the firm also has grown up, which
provides safety funds for the fishery improvement and industrialization.
